It was a bit brutal - yah.  Got nothing - although keeping fingers crossed for Barcelona - a mate of mine in Dublin got 15 seating tics for Friday night - he knows ticketmaster staff - he said apparently all standing tics were allocated to presale.  If i can wrangle some off him (although he says local GAA team want all tics) I'll let admin know.

hope all is good, adr

15 tickets??!! That's a bloody joke, the rest of us have to beg, steal n borrow just to get one.

I know plenty of serious U2 fans who can't go because they had to work and couldnt queue up, while ticketmaster/ GAA seem to have a free for all! How many times do you go to a U2 concert and look around you to see half the people there too busy getting pissed or scoffing their prawn sandwiches to even notice the band. I suppose the system is as fair as it ever likely to be, still a bit hard to stomach though.

If I hear of any tickets going around, I will post on here..

Good luck everyone..

that these were gone on pre sale when it timed down to 2 minutes after waiting 15mins the tickets were gone and had to rejoin for a further 15 mins by then it sold out.I should have chosen best available.
I feel your pain David i went onto ebay and the bulls...t has started with people who got tickets and selling them for a fortune theres nothing can be done about it.

Hi Bob,

What a nitemare, god I really feel for you, to be honest they should not have had the GA on the site if they were gone.. You should keep an eye on the pink pages in the echo, think every tues or wed as the last time U2 played in Croke Park, lots of tickets being offered, and some at face value so you never know.

Saw Ebay myself and unbelievable the money some people are looking for.

They will be playing a Monday concert anyway and hopefully tickets will be easier for that one!

Looking at the whole U2 package we were lucky that we had a pre-sale code with U2.com.

Between all the packages going the whole thing is a rip-off for U2 fans. Between Live Nation doing a VIP package and Ticket Master doing bidding for Red GA tickets!!!!!!,, Event Travel is a bit pricey as well and don't mention them fu-kers on E-bay, its a bit much.

If you want to see U2 and haven't got a ticket today, its a money game now.

I agree Louise & David - a lot of buyers will have zero interest in seeing the band, their only wish being to profit.  I'm sick to the pit of my stomach that I didn't get any tickets for Croke Park, I awoke at 4am this morning - all p*ssed off at the situation, then couldn't get back asleep!

Speaking of Ebay earlier I see that 2 GA Saturday Croker tickets went for 220.00 Euro.  I'm not here to advocate the uses of Ebay but personally I dont think thats a bad price to pay.  When you consider that some seating is 130.00 Euro, I think its not a bad price to pay - but however this may only be a once off - we certainly are not going to see tickets going for face value on Ebay now are we!  It will be interesting to see how much interest there is on Ebay.  Personally I wouldn't go near the online scalping companies - and I totally agree with Admin that Ticketmaster Auction & Live Nation are having a laugh.  They are totally out of touch with how people spend their money nowadays.  I'm not sure how quick U2 tickets went on Ebay but I can speak from personal experience with O2 AC/DC tickets for April.  I tried in vain to get tickets online smack on 9am, by 9.12am, there was a pair of tickets up on Ebay - the seller was in Norway.

I'm old enough to remember the pre-internet days when ye had to queue in your local big town or nearest city for concert tickets, great craic had inline.  And if there was a foreigh show you sent off a cheque or postal order - strange thing is I can never remember missing a gig that I wanted to go to (pre-internet days).

Again fair play to Admin for sorting out tickets at face value for people - well done lads, you're a credit to Cork.  I will get to Croke Park - by hook or by crook if I have to, & we will celebrate!!

Everyone, I don't want to get your hopes up to high, but in 2005, I got Twickenham (London) tickets online through ticketmaster a couple of weeks before the gigs. It took weeks and weeks of nervously checking ticketmaster on a daily basis, but it worked!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!

Hey,
I was just on ticketmaster and for redzone standing tickets up the front of stage the auction price is E115.00 per ticket, my friend got them for E100 per ticket yesterday, so worth looking even if you bid E130..00 , maybe worth a try..  this would be the price of a seated ticket in croker..
Seperate entrance and seating provided during the day and then up the front for the gigs..
Good luck!!
Lou

Hi everybody !

I could get GAs for the first night but no GAs for the second night. I'm trading at the moment to get D2 GAs and i might have spare tix. I will let you know.
The site crashed before 8am on friday and we were informed by the staff at the Celtic Note they couldn't access the page for Dublin 2 GAs so they will not sell any ticket for the second show...

About ebay, wait the last week before the show and prices will be under face value.
And like Liffey said, ticketmasters is putting tix on sale at regular basis. Just check every morning to catch them.
Keep hope !

Hello peeps

Perhaps I should introduce myself first. I am Tina, Belgian. Been a U2 fan for 26 years and I intend to come to Dublin for the shows, like I did with the Vertigo tour. If anybody needs to check ... Adrian knows who I am. We met a couple of times while I was in Dulbin. *waves to Adrian* :)

For those of you who've heard about The BAnner during the Vertigo tour, I made it and made it travel 135000 kms. so much for introducitons :-)

We have Dublin III coming up. Most of us have used our presale code I suppose? Heck, if I could have imagined they'ld give us a presale for dublin III I would have waited. But anyway ...

I'm looking for a partner who can get me 2 GA's for Dublin III. I have 2 extra GA's for dublin I or 2 extra GA's for Dulin II to offer. So depending on what show you already have, I can get you the other one.

I want to try the general sale but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to buy more tickets. Is ticketmaster's limit per show or per credit card? I mailed them but haven't received a reply yet so I'm still wondering. You never know someone here already knows the answer

thanks!

Hi !

Could someone confirm the general sale starts at 10am Dublin time for D3 ?
I'll have to ask one hour off to my manager as i'm suppose to stasrt work at 9.30am and i cannot access anything online. I will try until 10.30am as the GAs will be sold out then, i think.
Is someone interested in seats at 91.50 ? I will buy these if i cannot get GAs.
Too much stress !

Karine
