This Saturday night at Tripod we have the amazing U2 tribute act 'Rattle & Hum'.

Its the ONLY place to be this Saturday night if you didn't get your hands on a ticket or if your wondering what to do after the gig.

THE FINEST U2 TRIBUTE BAND ON THE PLANET (REF: HOT PRESS)
Put four guys together add the mix of being from Dublin, being U2 fans and excellent musicians together with a carbon copy of Bono (vocally and visually) as their front man and you have the excellent tribute band Rattle and Hum.
Rattle and Hum not only sound exactly like U2 but have an uncanny resemblance to the band and despite individual visual theatrics, become one powerful unit onstage, much like U2 themselves.
Having played in such prestigious venues as the Olympia Theatre and The helix in Dublin together with The Ulster Hall and the Limelight in Belfast (to name just a selection) as well as touring the US, Caribbean Islands and Europe it is no wonder that Rattle and Hum have got imitating U2 down to a fine art.
From U2’s first album “Boy” right up to “No Line on the Horizon” Rattle and Hum cover every era from the bands catalogue.
Having been to a Rattle and Hum concert you will witness the closest thing to U2 that you are ever going to see and you get the added bonus of seeing a U2 show in Tripod. Score!!!

POD :As if that was not enough, we also have MARTIN C playing the best bits from pioneers of dance such as The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Daft Punk to Groove Armada, mixed with contemporary chart favourites MGMT, Hot Chip and LCD Sound System dropping in the odd cheeky classic from the likes of Michael Jackson and AC/DC. NOMAD sounds with Danny Alonso and friends.

Spain’s Danny Alonso is a DJ/producer whose style runs the musical scale from minimal to electro, with a dash of techno and tribal thrown in for good measure. Having spent years immersed in the Madrid club scene, his new collective delivers barrages of frantic but fascinating tech grooves perfect for the dance floor. Having spent 2 years as resident DJ in Dublin's top venues, Danny’s ability to play hard-hitting, techy and minimal on any given day and Spanish influenced tribal the next has made him a entrancing and diverse force to be reckoned with. Phew! If you love dance music then you have without doubt danced to his floor filling efforts at one time or another.
